About Louise Stidham Photography

Hi there! Welcome to my official blog! Louise Stidham Photography started because of my interest in capturing everything that is special in life.

A simple smile, a relationship blooming, a wedding ceremony and reception, a pregnancy, a child being born, the laughter and tears of holding that tinny little person for the first time, the family photos, birthday parties and celebrations, my life, your life, anything that matters to us. All of those things keep me inspired to create works of art that you will enjoy for years to come.

I believe that {Life is Sweet} and I enjoy being able to go through my photographs and experience my best moments over and over again.

Enjoy your visit to my blog! While here, leave me some comments in your favorite images. If you want to book a session, please contact me. My information is in the About tab. Come back often to view my recent work and stay in touch!

Talk to you soon!

Louise :)

Happy Looks Good on This Little Guy! Gilbert Child Photographer

Friday, January 20th, 2012

A couple of days ago met with this adorable little man, Cooper, to celebrate his 9-month old milestone with a photo shoot.  I brought some accent props to our session including my “famous” flags and balloons to create a little set that would be entertaining for him. And what a fabulous time we had! Cooper absolutely loved the balloons as you can see by the cutest expressions he had in these photos.

If you think this post won’t get any more adorable than this, wait until you see the next photos of this cutie. Grab, grab, grab the red balloon!

I have always loved photographing babies and children. One thing I always try to do is let them have fun during the session even if we are doing a more formal session. We basically have one hour of playtime while the props and the location are just the foundation for the fun. I adore the photos of Cooper exploring his surroundings like the ones below.

What a cute smile he had when he spotted his mommy singing for him!

Seriously, happy looks good on this little guy. So glad I got to capture these moments for his proud parents. When I look at these images I think they would look amazing on a canvas gallery wrap collection. Gotta display this sweet boy’s photos because he is simply adorable!

Father & Daughter Super Sweet Portraits | Gilbert Family Photographer

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

Emma’s dad, Matt, contacted me to do a father & daughter portrait session and some exclusive portraits of his sweet little darling as well. When we met for our shoot I had a fabulous time with this family. At the end of our session,  Matt  was so kind to tell me that “it was fun” and that I would be seeing him again next year. He absolutely made my day with such nice words even before he saw his photos. Well, it didn’t stop there, once he received his digital files, he sent me a text with a picture of the collage he had put together with the images I captured. Wow, again another smile on my face.

I absolutely love these super sweet moments. I hope you will enjoy them too.

Free 2012 Calendar | Happy New Year!

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

With only one day left of 2011, I began to reflect on the experiences I have had throughout this year. One of the things I wanted to take a moment to do is to share my gratitude with all of my clients, friends and family.

* To my clients: Thank you for allowing me to do what I love and being able to work with you creating and preserving moments. I really appreciate the friendship I have developed with you and the loyalty and respect you have given me. There’s nothing more gratifying to me than reading through the emails you have sent me thus far with so many wonderful comments and appreciation. Many thanks!

* To my family and friends:  thank you for believing in my talent and for encouraging me to continue my photographic journey. Special thanks to my husband, David for being so understanding when I am busy and deeply involved with my art and for giving me feedback about my work. I love that I can have someone to give me ideas 24/7. You are the best, David. My little son, Ethan also deserves a a little note of gratitude for keeping me inspired. Motherhood has really been a blessing in my life and I cannot put into words how much joy my son brings me.

In summary, 2011 has been a fantastic year and I am looking forward to my first photo shoot of 2012 that will be coming up already so soon. For now, I wish to everyone a very Happy New Year!

Just as a token of my appreciation, I have free printable 8×10 calendar for clients that have had session with me in 2011. If you want one, just send me an email at info@louisestidham.com or through facebook.com/louisestidhamphotography so that I can get your file ready and emailed. These 2012 calendars are for your personal use and will come ready for you to print featuring images I’ll select from your session, similar to the sample below. You can print it with your own home printer in glossy or heavyweight card stock paper, or take it to your favorite consumer printing lab and request them to print it for you.  It is a JPEG file, size 8×10. The last day to request this calendar will be on January 9, 2012.

Again, Happy New Year!

The images featured in the calendar above are from the photo shoot I did for the Jones Family. I absolutely love meeting them and  helping them capture these fabulous moments. Here are some of them at a larger size:

The Hargis Family| Gilbert Family Photographer

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

The Hargis family heard about me through one of my clients so, when the saw my Living Social feature they took the opportunity to book a family session. I really appreciate the Solidays’ for the referral; it is very gratifying when a client refers someone to me. Meeting the Hargis’ was fun, I had such a wonderful time photographing them and am excited to hear that they loved their portraits as well.

What a lovely family, the best thing about photographing them was getting to experience how sweet and kind they are & were to each other. I am so glad I was able to capture these moments. Wait, there’s more, one of my favorites….I think this one belongs in a canvas wall art…breathtaking!

And here are a few more featuring TRUE LOVE:

This setting was so perfect, I absolutely enjoyed everything about this photoshoot. Here is a final one of the Hargis Family.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you next time!
